11/10/06:
Today is a fairly low key day finally. The boys have been up and running around since about 7:30am, with me chasing close behind. Jon decided to head out and try to hunt an elk or deer today with his friend, Mike from our church out here. Should be interesting to see if they g
et anything. Last time he went hunting with a friend of his from work, John, they walked up and down hills through forests for miles. However, Jon was successful finally making that perfect shot. It was right through the heart. He got himself a young buck. He was of course quite proud of his first "big game" hunting experience, and got home and had to show us all his prize. Personally, I found it a bit disgusting, as hunting really is NOT my thing. However, if it makes him happy, then I'm all for it, just don't make me do any of the gutting or meat preparing! I don't mind cooking it, it's just everything else! ha ha ha!Well, let's see. I recently started working at the Real Foods Market here in town. I started as a grocery stocker, and was just promoted to manager! Can you believe it? After only three weeks! Thankfully, it includes a pretty good pay raise, so I'll take it! This month, I'm working quite a bit more than my usual, Monday & Thursday evening shifts, and every other Sunday shift. I'm working two Saturdays in a row, and every Sunday this month, due to the fact that we have some people leaving, and it also happens to be Thanksgiving this month. Oh well... just more money in the bank for us. So far, I really like working there. I get along well with everyone, and the work is not difficult at all. They are super flexible about time and respectful of family, which I really appreciate. I also like that I am able to be with the kids during the day, and don't have to put them into day care now. What a blessing!

Joshua has been busy enjoying preschool so far. His class is making a wreath and tree for our town's festival of trees. Joshua made two snowflakes for the wreath of foam snowflake cut outs. Of course, when I went to pick him up from preschool that day, his teacher asked if I could pick out which snowflakes he'd made. Obviously, they were the two that had about 10 snowflake cut outs stacked on top of each other so it ended up being about three inches thick! It was too funny. What can I say though? He loves to build!

David is becoming more vocal every day. He is busy chasing after the "kitty!" every day, and climbing all over every single piece of furniture that we own! He has really become quite the little character. He is also extremely social. When I drop him off at the play area at my gym, he cries for about 30 seconds before he realizes that there are other kids, and lots of toys to play with. Then it's off to play, and no noticing that mommy isn't there any more!
This past halloween, Joshua and David had a ball. I took them down town to the little tyke's trick or treating. We met up with a friend of mine who happens to have two little boys right around the same ages. Noah, who happens to be one of Joshua's best little buddies, and Connor who happens to be one of David's best buddies, Joshua, and David went from business to business charming the pants off of everyone, gathering big buckets full of candy and goodies. Joshua decided that he wanted to be a fireman this year, and David, (being the good recycling
mom that I am) wore Joshua's frog costume from two years ago. Both boys just looked too cute. Of course, I had to take them down around our street that night, but boy was it ever cold! That evening turned out to be one of the coldest of the fall that we've had yet! When we left for trick or treating at 6:30pm it was only 11 degrees outside! Needless to say, we bundled the boys up, but we all still froze! I don't think I've ever seen Joshua so happy to get home after trick or treating as he was that night!
